Limai's International Department has both educational & administration sections; it recruits international students coming to China, promotes Chinese language education internationally, executes foreign-related policies, and conducts international cooperation and exchanges. Our main functions are :
- To develop publicity globally, participate in the schools' international cooperation programs, coordinate its foreign affairs, and offer consultation and services to other Limai departments;
- To manage international students, map out their study plans, and assist in international admission, teaching administration as well as accommodation for both students and teachers;
- To supervise the Chinese Language Centre (CLC), where our outstanding teachers focus on various long term and short term programs of Chinese as a second language (this includes Chinese Summer Camp) and promote Chinese culture;
- To provide domestic students consultation and related services regarding studying abroad and organize overseas winter and summer camps.
- To invite foreign teachers and to take charge of related employment procedures, visa administration and daily living concerns.
The International Department, at present, holds 5 types of courses through the CLC : Class C (Beginner), Class B (Intermediate), Class A (Advanced), HSK Intensive Program and Adult Training. In addition to learning the Chinese language, registered international students can and do join Chinese students' classes according to their academic proficiency, attend group games and experience Chinese culture. Activities like Chinese Kung Fu, learning traditional Chinese painting and copying traditional calligraphy works provide even more opportunity for international students to not only grasp the language but also understand Chinese culture and traditions and the very essence of the country in which they are studying. |
