ADMISSION POLICIES

- ADMISSIONS - HOME

Students of any age may gain admission to BYCA but the ages of students in our key intake groups are approximately 18 months for kindergarten and primary, 7 years old for elementary, 13 for junior high and 16 for either the senior high or the Cambridge International Centre -- an english-medium high school on a British curricumlum. International admissions in the course of the academic year are by special arrangement with the International Department and Admissions Office.

Parents seeking admission for their sons or daughters are asked to complete the appropriate Application Form. This should be completed, printed off and returned to International Department or Admissions Office with the Registration Fee of £¤800.

Alternatively, don't hesitate to contact us at 010-8046 3653. We will be happy to help you with any questions you might have.

A visit and an interview can then be arranged, and in due course the applicant will sit the relevant entrance exam. The interview and entrance exam, together with the transcript from the student's former school will allow us to design a better study plan for the applicant.

When a place is offered to an applicant, parents are asked to confirm acceptance with tuition payment to cover at least half a term.

Visiting Campus

A personal campus visit is available any day of the week; call us and arrange your visit. Parents living outside China may take an online tour of our school.

Special Open Days offer the ideal occasion for you to view the school and talk to our pupils and academic staff. You can also find out about all the subjects we offer as well as all the extra-curricular activities and other opportunities available to students at Limai. The invitation to our next Open Day will be published on the homepage.

Entrance Exam

The entrance exam includes Chinese, English and Mathematics portions. This test follows a modified form of China's national curriculum. The Cambridge International Centre has fairly different expectations, being an english-medium high school on a British curriculum, and has its own English and Mathematics entrance exams.

Guardianship

An international student under 18 years old must have a Guardian (which can of course be one of the student's parents) with legal resident status in Beijing.
